Dental Oral Hygiene Kit
Tooth
decay and gum disease are largely caused by plaque, a sticky
combination of bacteria and food. Plaque begins to accumulate
on teeth within 20 minutes after eating. If this plaque is
not removed thoroughly each day, tooth decay will flourish.
Over time, plaque will harden into tartar.
Our Dental Hygiene Kit Includes the Following:
Dental
Scaler - use this instrument to locate and remove plaque,
tartar, stains and debris. You'll find these things are located
on and between the teeth, along the gum lines, and on the
front and backside of the teeth and on dentures too. If you
wish to keep most of this stuff off your teeth, this is the
only instrument that will do just that.
Dental
Explorer - Dentist use this instrument to check every
surface of your teeth for areas of decay; the instrument will
catch or stick in spots created by cavities.
Dental
Mirrors - This instrument is used to inspect your gum
tissue and hidden areas along the backside of teeth. You're
checking for swollen or irritated looking gums, bleeding gums,
tooth decay, and heavy tartar build-up.
Disclosing
Tablets - Are used to disclose (make visible) the tartar,
plaque and debris on your teeth. Plaque will be Dark red and
the clean areas of the teeth will be a pale pink color. The
dark areas need to be cleaned with the dental scaler thats
included with each kit.
